Value for money is important whilst traveling, the list below are products and services I personally use to find great travel deals.
Booking.com offers over a million room worldwide in over 227 different countries so chances are there will be room available where you are going. It’s highly competitive so there are likely to be great offers available.
Sometimes you cannot travel by land, you need to get somewhere quickly, you need to get home or you need to get to a starting point of a journey. For that, Skyscanner is a price comparison site with more providers than anyone else, which searches millions of flights at once, almost always finding the cheapest available flight.
Lonely Planet are by far the most useful travel guide. I have used at least one of their guidebooks on each of my trips. The guides often include information on accommodation which is not available on booking.com. They also give you a basic guide of the country, culture, safety, things to do etc. The guides are available as a traditional book, or as an e-book to read on your phone / tablet or computer.
On my most recent travel I have used a Samsung Galaxy S6 to take ‘spur of the moment’ photos. The photos you need to take straight away but don’t have quick access to your camera. The quality is surprisingly good.
I use Adobe Photoshop 6 to improve all my photos and you should too. You can really make your photos stand out by enhancing the colors, clearing up the dark patches and improving the clarity.
