Yiannis Restaurant is located on the banks of the peaceful Lipsi Harbor. With the beautiful decorations as well as the iconic pink Yiannis boat moored outside, this restaurant grabs your attention.
Al Fresco Dining
There’s no better way to complement al fresco dining than with a sea view. Well, maybe al fresco dining with a sea view at sunset! Yiannis restaurant is on the banks of Lipsi Harbor therefore offers, perhaps the best al fresco dining experience on the island.
Starter / Appetizer
Fresh aubergines from the island are an excellent way to start your meal. The fried aubergines are very lightly breaded which enhances their flavor. Alternatively, aubergines are available in a salad or with cheese.
Greece is famous for its cheese therefore cheese balls make the perfect starter. An alternative would be split pea balls, courgette balls or tomato balls. How about fried octopus balls?
Another famous Greek dish is Tzatziki. Why not order freshly prepared Greek Tzatziki for your appetizer?
Of course Lipsi is an island therefore seafood should be your first choice. When I visited the special was a tuna steak. As a matter of fact, the tuna had been caught the very same day that morning. Other choices include swordfish, squid, cod, shrimps or lobster.
If, for some reason you do not fancy seafood, there are plenty of alternatives. You may choose chicken, beef, meatballs, spaghetti, lamb, goat, pork or from a variety of salads. The more adventurous may choose grilled calves livers or perhaps a pork belly.
There is no dessert menu at Yiannis restaurant. However, a delicious complimentary dessert is offered.
Yiannis Restaurant Mural
As you explore Lipsi Island you discover many beautiful sights. One such sight is the Yiannis Restaurant mural. Surprisingly, this is not the most beautiful part of the restaurant. The most photographed part of the restaurant is the Yiannis Boat in the harbor.
Yiannis Restaurant Boat
As you enjoy your Greek food and al fresco dining experience, it’s likely you’ll also see couples strolling along the harbor and stopping for a picture by the pink Yiannis boat. It’s definitely the most identifiable boat in the whole harbor area.
