Location
Centro Paolo VI is located in a palace of Baroque architecture. You will not be staying in a hotel but in a palace! The palace is located within walking distance of the train station and historic center of Brescia. From the train station you can easily make day trips to popular Italian destinations. Destinations such as Milan, the wine region, Lake Garda, Verona and Valcamonica are all possible day trips. You could stay in the hotel for a week whilst exploring these popular Italian destinations.
Check In
As you walk into the palace you will be greeted by friendly staff. Now is a good time to share your plans in Brescia. They can provide you with a tourist map and recommend popular restaurants and bars in Brescia. The staff will be proud to tell you about the UNESCO sites of Brescia. If you are planning day trips they can find out the train times for you.
Guest room
The guest rooms are huge, it’s almost like staying in an apartment. One thing you won’t be short of is space! WiFi is complimentary and available in the rooms and throughout the palace. Although the building is from the Baroque period, the WiFi is super fast and reliable.
Guest room bathroom
As with the guest rooms the en suite bathroom is spacious. You’ll find all necessary amenities in the super clean bathroom.
Panoramic balcony
The balcony rooms with a view of Brescia are very popular. Make sure you book ahead to guarantee this view. The view is so panoramic that even my fish eye lens could not capture it all! An alternate view of the interior gardens of the hotel is quite a peaceful and relaxing view too.
Gardens and patio
The residence offers peaceful gardens where you can sit out and relax. You can bring your breakfast out here if you wish to eat outside. Another option would be to relax beside the olive trees with a good book.
Church
The hotel gardens are huge and there is an onsite church. If you don’t have time to visit the UNESCO churches in the historic center then you can visit the onsite church. The church boasts frescoes on the ceiling and a huge renaissance era painting. Wouldn’t this church and palace be perfect for a wedding in Brescia?
Modern conference room
If you are visiting Brescia on business then you may book the conference rooms. There are several conference and meeting rooms available to book. It is best to email the property directly with your business requirements. Conference halls come with all required projectors and super fast internet etc…
Classic conference room
Not only does the palace offer modern conference rooms. For a unique business meeting you could book a classic conference room. Have you held a meeting in conference room with frescoes before? Could this be an inspiration for your meeting?
Buffet breakfast
The buffet breakfast is delicious and there are lots of options. Gluten free and vegetarian options are available. There is a selection of breads, sweet breads, cereals, cold meats and fruit juices. Coffee is brought to your table.
Instagram worthy locations
Around the residence you’ll find many Instagram worth locations. You can make your Instagram poses with the long hallways, chandeliers, frescoes, gardens, church, paintings and red carpets. As a tourist you could stay in the hotel the whole time and have a wonderful set of photos to share! Having said that, you must go out and enjoy the UNESCO sites of Brescia. There’s also Brescia Castle which offers amazing views of the city. Brescia has its own Duomo too.

Check you out, staying in a palace! This is one of the things I love most about Italy; you actually get to stay in a baroque architecture building! This sounds like a great and spacious choice for Brescia. The rooms are huge, and it’s a great idea to share your plans with the staff too; they always have good advice.
I am a sucker for baroque architecture! I think the reason is that almost anything that falls within the scope of baroque winds up looking palatial. Seriously. That was my first thought when I saw your pictures. The onsite church looks pretty spectacular. I agree, if you can’t make it out into the town, hanging around your “palace” would satisfy any wanderlust!
I’m in love with the architecture. Your photographs are amazing as are the interiors. I always make sure I book balcony rooms. They have a different feel altogether. To top it up, it must have been like a fairytale to live in a palace. Cheers!!
oh I hope you had a great time in North Italy! I remember that you told me you’re planning to go there when I published my post about venice 🙂 Travel safe!
Thanks, this residence in Brescia was definitely a good start!
Staying in Palace turned hotel must be giving you so royal feeling. Italian styled decor in a baroque architectural Palace is itself a beautiful experience. All parts of this palace are Instagram worthy. Frescoes in Church are really very beautiful and also this palace has impressive modern conference room.
Wow! Staying in a Palace is such a Royal feeling! The palace is stunningly beautiful with a combination of modern and historic architecture. The room looks luxurious and cozy with all those earthly colours. The church is quite fascinating and the garden is beautiful. Love the way you have captured everything so skilfully. Hope to visit this place some day. Thanks for sharing your Royal experience. 🙂
Staying in a palace must be so amazing! I love the buffet breakfast, especially when they offer several choices to customers. Also, I’m in love with the architecture of this place. The garden and patio are definitely a great place to relax and chill.
WOW staying in a palace? That would be a dream come true for me! The onsite church is stunning! It is very convenient that it is close to the UNESCO sites of Brescia!
You had me at Palace! I would like to stay in this magnificent hotel – so convenient to be located within walking distance from the train station. Also, I love Baroque architecture style. If I ever visit Brescia, I’ll look no further than this gorgeous palace! Thanks for sharing, James – your posts are always helpful. – Ella
I’ve never heard of Brescia but if there are 2 UNESCO sites then I would love to see them. The Paolo VI looks like an amazing place to visit, I’ve had a quick click through at the prices and I can’t believe how cheap it is to stay there. It would make sense to stay there and visit Milan, Garda Lake and definitely Verona on day trips.
