I share my fine dining experience at To Rodi Restaurant in Skopelos Island, Greece. I’ve dined at several Michelin star / AA Rosette restaurants throughout Europe. Although To Rodi Restaurant does not have a Michelin star, the food served here gives the same flavor kick I’ve experienced in Michelin star restaurants. Additionally, the large wine menu features wines which will complement your meal.
To Rodi Bar
Firstly, before and after your meal, I highly recommend you have a drink at the bar. Why? you may ask. Where else in Greece can you enjoy a drink on a bar decorated with original azulejos? It’s also a good place to take in the beautiful settings which include a pomegranate tree.
Starter
For my starter I chose grilled feta cheese with soutzouki. As soon as I tasted the starter, I knew the food here was special. With such tasty food the best way to eat it is slowly and to enjoy every mouthful.
Main Course
For main course I selected pork fillets in sun dried grape wine sauce and Santorini’s split peas. Again, this plate has a taste to savor. Ask your server for wine recommendations to complement whichever plate you choose.
Dessert
After slowly enjoying your meal, you may have a sweet tooth. For this reason, ask about desserts. I personally chose to enjoy enjoy my dessert at the colorfully decorated bar.
To Rodi – Location
To Rodi Restaurant is a lovely place to relax and enjoy a meal. For a unique experience, I recommend you sit under the pomegranate tree. However, many visitors choose to sit above the pedestrian walkway so they can people watch as they eat. Alternatively, if the weather’s not too good you may choose to sit indoors. Wherever you sit, do admire the well kept Greek architecture which surrounds you.
Enjoy your Fine Dining at Skopelos Island
Staff are both friendly and knowledgeable therefore ask them for food and wine recommendations. As a matter of fact, staff are also knowledgeable about Skopelos Island so I encourage you to ask them for local hot spots.
I’ve been to Skopelos a few times but never seen this restaurant – wow! What a stunning location, my lady will love it!
Bon appetit!
