You will probably be checked in by Frederic who speaks perfect English. He will be interested in where you are from and what your plans are in Toulouse. Frederic can offer advice on what to see and do whilst in town. Any questions you have you should ask Frederic. He can provide you with a map, recommend restaurants and what to see in Toulouse. I found Frederic more informative than the Toulouse tourist information office. You may meet the friendly hotel cat, Heliot during check in. The hotel is named after the cat.
Staircase
The staircase in the hotel is a piece of art. It’s a rewarding experience taking the stairs. There are paintings of Toulouse decorating the hallways which can inspire your photos when you go out sightseeing.
Double Room
The double room is spacious. In summer Toulouse can get hot so the air conditioning is a must. There is a useful desk for those traveling to Toulouse on business. For the those visiting Toulouse with family there is a family suite available. Fast and free WiFi is available throughout the hotel so you will always be connected.
Double Room Bathroom
The bathroom is sparkling clean. You’ll find all the required amenities such as soap dispenser and hairdryer. Not only do you have a shower but you can relax after a day of sightseeing in the bath. The bath is also very useful if you are traveling to Toulouse with kids.
Breakfast
You have a choice of either express breakfast or buffet breakfast. As I was leaving for an early to the train station I choose the express breakfast for €3. This is the choice of pain au chocolat or a croissant and a hot drink. I chose a pain au chocolat with a coffee. The pastries are delivered fresh every morning from a local bakery. Fresh French pastries in France, you are guaranteed to enjoy your breakfast!

Hey James, you really have been featuring some truly awesome properties off late. I have to say I am a little jealous. I love how classic French the building and the interiors are and it is always nice to know that the owners are kind and run the business well. The room look perfect for a nice night and i’m sure being French the food would be amazing. The Staircase, another one of your recurring themes, looks quite majestic. Thanks
You had me at fresh French pastries for breakfast! I’d really like to visit Toulouse, and the Hotel Heliot sounds like a great choice. The manager, and his cat, come across very friendly, and the location’s perfect for exploring the city.
A friend of mine has just moved to France so I am planning a road trip from Spain. I have always fancied visiting Toulouse. It’s now firmly on my to-do list, since I don’t need to do any further research on where I’d stay! Sounds like a lovely, friendly hotel 🙂
Toulouse has been on my has been on my list for a while now and I am definitely hoping to get there within the next year. After reading your post, I am definitely moving it up my list more. I will definitely check out Hotel Heliot when we do decide to go as it sounds like such a lovely place. The rooms look spacious and I like the staircases. I don’t like pastries, so I will definitely be choosing the Buffett breakfast.
My eyes always light up for a spiral staircase! Lol. This reminds me of the hotel we stayed in on our first trip to Paris–I love the antique feel of more boutique properties that repurpose homes. Looks like a great place to stay, and 3 Euro for a pastry and coffee in France isn’t bad at all as far as hotel breakfasts go!
The hotel looks really French and the interiors seem great too. I like the express breakfast as usually, I prefer to eat out whenever I visit a place but this express breakfast is not only delicious & fresh but also really economic. Lovely recommendation!
Hotel Heliot in Toulouse looks comfortable with antique French interiors. I loved the staircase shot as it is a piece of art. Sparkling clean bathroom is so refreshing after a long tiring day for tourists. It is good that Fredrick knows English and is helpful.
Hotel Heliot room is looking very comfortable and classy. Loved the fact that the major points are not far from the hotel. I ideally love to stay at a place which is close to attractions. It’s great to know the hotel has someone who can guide you about places to visit that too in English, it’s a big blessing in France.
Wow, that staircase is amazing. I’ve never really heard of this place but your accommodations seem perfect for exploring the city. I think one of the most important things is a comfy bed when you’re traveling because if you don’t get a good nights sleep, you’ll be too tired to enjoy a new city or country.
I love how the building looks from he outside, such a French feeling. The simple breakfast looks like a great way to start the day too. Toulouse is a city that interests me.
